How we review survey panels

SurveyQueen publishes original guides and reviews of third-party survey panels. We do not operate panels, decide who is accepted, issue surveys or pay rewards. This page explains what sits behind a published figure.

What we record during first-hand testing

Where a review indicates first-hand testing, SurveyQueen retains records of the following for the account and period stated on that review:

Survey attempts
Every invitation opened, including the ones that went nowhere.
Completed surveys
Only surveys marked complete by the panel are counted.
Screen-outs
Attempts terminated by the panel before completion.
Time spent
Measured from opening an invitation to the panel's end screen.
Rewards received
Points or cash credited to the account, not the amount advertised.
Redemption thresholds
The minimum balance the panel requires before cash-out.
Payout processing time
From redemption request to money or gift code received.

A review does not display “tested first-hand” unless those records exist for it. Where a figure comes from a panel's own published terms or help documentation instead, the review says so.

What we check on every review

We read the panel's current terms, privacy policy, reward catalogue and help centre, and record the date they were checked. Reward ranges, redemption minimums and payout methods are re-checked at least twice a year, and immediately when a panel announces a change.

Limits of our testing

Test results reflect a limited account, location, demographic and period. Survey availability is driven by quotas that change hour to hour, so another participant's experience may differ substantially from ours. Nothing on this site is a prediction of what you personally will earn.

How commercial relationships are handled

Some review pages contain paid referral links, and SurveyQueen may earn a commission when a reader joins a panel through one. Commercial relationships do not determine our published ratings or conclusions, and we keep listings for panels that pay us nothing. Read the advertising disclosure and the editorial policy.

Corrections

When we correct a material figure we note the change rather than silently editing it. Report an error through our contact page.
